There are several situations where you’ll need to drain your Plantaform Indoor Garden. These include:
- At the end of a growing cycle
- If you have overfilled the bottom water tank (maximum 7L)
- If you plan to move the device to a new location
- Before running the cleaning cycle after a completed growth cycle
What About the Top Water Tank?
If your top water tank is full when you begin the harvesting process, you may need to manually drain it. Here are the steps to manually drain the top water tank into the bottom water tank
How to Drain the Bottom Water Tank
1. Locate the drainage panel near the base of your Indoor Garden.
2. Inside, you’ll find a clear drainage tube with a quarter-turn flow valve.
3. Before opening the valve, ensure the end of the tube is positioned over a bucket or sink.
4. Turn the valve 90 degrees to begin draining. Water should begin flowing immediately.
5. You can leave the unit to drain and check back in ~10 minutes to confirm it’s fully emptied.
📌 Tip: You don’t need to monitor the drainage constantly—just make sure the tube is secure and directed into an appropriate container.
