The top water tank on your Plantaform Indoor Garden serves as a 2L reserve that automatically drains into the bottom water tank when the bottom tank’s water level drops to approximately 2–3L remaining during the growing cycle.
This ensures your plants stay hydrated without you needing to constantly monitor water levels. You may occasionally hear a brief sound when this occurs — that’s the water moving through the clear drainage tube located behind the root chamber.
How to Manually Drain the Top Water Tank
If you’re performing a full clean or need to empty the top tank manually, follow these steps:
1. Press and hold the status light button for 3 seconds – the light should pulse GREEN.
2. Click the button to cycle through options until it pulses YELLOW.
3. Press and hold the button again for 3 seconds to confirm. The light will turn solid YELLOW, and you’ll hear an audible sound confirming the pump is active.
4. The top tank will drain completely in about 15 minutes.
