If your school’s Wi-Fi requires login through a captive portal, please follow these steps to connect your Plantaform Indoor Garden using the PLTFConnect router.

🔧 Setup Steps (Using your Computer)

1. Plug in the Router

• Turn it on and switch it to Share Hotspot Mode.
• Please wait for 2-3 minutes as the router starts up and generates the Hidden Network.

2. Connect to the Hidden Router Network on your Computer's WiFi Settings

• Add a new WiFi Network Profile and enter in the Network Name and Password below:
  • Network Name: PLTFConnect
  • Password: Plantaform1

3. Access Router Settings

• Open your browser and go to 192.168.0.1 or tplinkwifi.net
• Login Password: Plantaform1

4. Connect the Router to School Wi-Fi

• Navigate to the tab Wireless 2.4GHz on the left menu under the tp-link logo.

• Click the Scan button to search for nearby networks.

Select your school’s Wi-Fi network:

• If your school uses a GUEST Wi-Fi Network (for example, OCDSB_GUEST):
  • Select the guest network from the list.
  • Do not enter a wireless password.
  • Click Save at the bottom of the page.
  • Wait 30-60 seconds and a portal page will appear prompting you to allow permissions and continue.
  • Once complete, skip Step 5 in the guide and proceed directly to Step 6 on your phone.

• If your school uses a Password-Protected Wi-Fi Network:
  • Select the secured network from the list.
  • Enter the Wi-Fi password in the Wireless Password field.
  • Click Save at the bottom of the page.
  • Proceed to Step 5 below.

5. Optional: Authenticate via Captive Portal (If using a password protected WiFi Network)

• In your browser, go to any random website URL (e.g. example.com).
• The school login portal should appear.
• Log in using your teacher or administrative credentials.
• If the portal doesn’t appear, check router connectivity or try another website URL.

🌱 Connecting Your Plantaform Indoor Garden (Using your Phone)

6. Open the Plantaform App on your Phone

• Follow the on-screen steps to begin device setup.
• When prompted to select a Wi-Fi network, enter the router credentials below:
  • Router Hidden Network Credentials
    • SSID: PLTFConnect
    • Password: Plantaform1

✅ Your Plantaform Indoor Garden should now be connected to the Internet and ready to grow!
